I am not a studio newborn photographer, but I do very much enjoy documenting their first days in the hospital or at home. I also volunteer with an organization called The Tiny Footprint Project, where I photography babies in the NICU. Sometimes when photographing in a hospital you don't always have the best lighting conditions. In the NICU I typically do sessions in there is literally not a single window. I do not use flash, and boy is natural light nice. I was so excited to do my first session at Womack (thinking there would be glorious window light), but it was an overcast afternoon and the only small window was down a mini hallway. I was slightly heartbroken. With that being said, I still love how these first few moments as a larger family turned out. You can really see the bond and love these two have to share with one another and now their new adorable baby boy. These were some of my favorite shots from the session.
